Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Rubbish Clearance Holland Park in respect of our operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly, and we take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our activities or in those of our business partners.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Rubbish Clearance Holland Park provides waste collection, rubbish removal, and associated services to residential and commercial customers. Our supply chains include providers of vehicles and equipment, subcontracted labour for collection and disposal activities, waste transfer and recycling facilities, uniform and consumable suppliers, and professional services such as maintenance and training. We recognise that some of these areas can carry a higher risk of labour exploitation and we are focused on identifying, assessing, and managing these risks effectively.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
We have a clear, organisation-wide zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. This policy applies to all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers who work with or on behalf of Rubbish Clearance Holland Park. We will not knowingly engage with any party that fails to uphold fundamental human rights, including the right to freely chosen employment, fair pay, safe working conditions, and freedom from coercion or exploitation.
All staff are expected to act with integrity and to challenge any practice that may give rise to concerns about modern slavery. Breaches of our policy will be treated seriously and may lead to disciplinary action, termination of contracts, or referral to the relevant authorities.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We are committed to working only with suppliers and subcontractors who share our values and demonstrate respect for human rights. As part of our supplier approval and ongoing management process, we seek to ensure that our partners:
Operate in compliance with applicable employment and labour laws in their jurisdiction, prohibit forced, bonded, or involuntary labour, maintain transparent records of working hours and remuneration, verify the identity and legal right to work of all employees and agency workers, and provide safe, healthy, and respectful working environments.
Where we identify higher-risk suppliers or categories of supply, we may carry out audits or request evidence of their policies and procedures relating to modern slavery. These checks may include site visits, document reviews, and discussions with management and, where appropriate, workers. Failure to cooperate with reasonable requests for information or to remedy identified issues may result in the reconsideration or termination of the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
Rubbish Clearance Holland Park is developing and implementing training and awareness initiatives so that our team can recognise the signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond. Staff involved in procurement, contract management, and operations are given particular guidance on assessing risk within supply chains and on the appropriate escalation routes for any concerns.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We actively encourage our employees, agency workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any suspicions or concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised with a line manager, a senior manager, or directly with the company director. Reports can be made in person, by phone, or in writing, and may be submitted confidentially if preferred.
We will not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith. All reports will be taken seriously, handled sensitively, and, where appropriate, investigated promptly. Where we find evidence of modern slavery or related abuses, we will take immediate steps to address the situation, which may include notifying the authorities and supporting affected individuals in accessing appropriate help.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility that requires continuous improvement. Rubbish Clearance Holland Park is committed to regularly reviewing the effectiveness of our policies, procedures, and controls. At least once every 12 months, senior management will conduct a formal review of this Modern Slavery Statement and our associated practices.
The annual review will consider changes in our operations and supply chains, any incidents or concerns raised, legislative and regulatory developments, and feedback from employees and suppliers. Where necessary, we will update this statement, strengthen our due diligence processes, extend the scope of supplier audits, and enhance training and awareness activities.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement reflects the commitment of Rubbish Clearance Holland Park to uphold human dignity, promote fair working practices, and prevent exploitation in all areas of our business.
